Another week has gone by and I'm still loving life. What's up everyone, How's everything been going with you all? Can you all believe it's going to be July here this week because I can't. The end of this transfer is this week and I start my last 6 weeks as a missionary. Doesn't seem real that I will be done for reals this time around but hey, that's still a little but away so let me share some highlights from the week with y'all:
Our friend Jestina is getting baptized this Saturday which we are stoked about. It has been awesome to see her faith grow in Jesus Christ. We had some cool little miracles with her this past week. Rewind a few weeks ago we taught her about the law of tithing and about the Word of Wisdom and she didn't seem to keen on following them. We felt that we should teach her about Temples and the importance of following the commandments before we taught about Tithing and the Word of Wisdom again. When we taught her about Temples she fell in love with it. Now fast forward to this past week when we taught her about Tithing and the Word of Wisdom she accepted them without any holdups. It is amazing how people are willing to change so much when they let God prevail in their lives.
One of my favorite parts of my week happened in the most ghetto part of our area. We just got out of a lesson, and I don't know if any of you have ever seen the movie Creed? But, if you have you might remember the scene where he was running down the road with a bunch of people riding quads and dirt bikes next to him. Well that happened to us and it was so sick. We were waiting for the bus and a whole gang of these guys were just have a grand old time wheelin up and down the road with their quads and dirt bikes. You would think that they would wait for the people who are driving to to drive off, but these dudes own the town hah because every car will just pull over to the side and wait. It was way sick. Maybe I should join their gang or something haha.
I have found great strength in reading The Book of Mormon everyday and I would invite you to read it everyday as well even if it is just a couple verses.
Well hope y'all have a wonderful week!
